Fit like an absolute glove. I also was pleasantly surprised with them sending the right screws. I was under the impression I had to find the perfect fitting ones, but they sent ones that made it fit well and sit flat. Also they were short so there’s more versatility with where you can mount it with the screw option. I also tested it with both the stock ColdCard MK4 cover as well as the CryptoCloaks one and both fit great. The stock one didn’t have too much resistance though, so if you use that…

cover, be mindful of the orientation, specifically if you’re mounting it sideways. The ColdCard cover felt much more secure. And it was more customizable.

Awesome little Bitcoin decor for the desk or a shelf! Great to have the little compartment too. Probably the only negative points I could give it would be in the threading that connects the base and top. Because its 3D printed it isn’t very tight (and really probably cant be because the threads have to be so large and steep). But if I turn mine over, the top will basically unscrew itself and fall out (accidentally did this like 5 times, lol). Possible suggestion would be to have a standard slo…

t for a threaded insert to go on both the top and bottom (like a wide bottle top but inverted), and then actually get a cheap manufactured piece to drop in. Probably not necessary for this, but maybe for another product the CryptoCloaks crew with the same idea. Could probably source something pretty cheap that could be put together with a bit of glue and just slotting it into place that would make a more solid feel to the connection. Just a thought. Super happy I got mine and it current hodls 2 opendimes!

Our Story

CryptoCloaks : Bitcoin Accessories Made by a Real Bitcoiner

CryptoCloaks has been building bitcoin-native products since 2017. What started as a passion project in Minnesota has grown into a full Colorado operation. Pride ourselves on our own designs making 3D printed bitcoin mining accessories, hardware wallet cases, and bitcoin art for people who actually care about this stuff.

Our Bitcoin Grenade is the most recognizable piece of bitcoin merch ever made. It was originally designed for the CryptoEcon 2020 conference in Hanoi, Vietnam. Getting them there wasn’t easy. Vietnamese customs officials pulled the shipment and were so alarmed by 120 realistic-looking grenades that they brought in a Vietnam War veteran to physically inspect them and confirm they weren’t real. They cleared customs. Then COVID shut the conference down. The remaining grenades got distributed randomly, bitcoiners loved them, and the rest is history. Now they’ve been spotted in the hands of Max Keiser, Soulja Boy, Paris Hilton, and Tucker Carlson.
